When quality must be felt and seen even after many years
71 Nyhavn Hotel is in two historic warehouses along the waterfront in Nyhavn/Copenhagen, where timber beams, brickwork, and maritime traces tell the story of the city’s trade and life for more than 200 years.
When guests step into the lobby and reception area, it is not just a check-in. It is the beginning of an experience.
The interior creates a space where history, calm, and modern comfort meet and where the furniture invites guests to stay a little longer.
The result – when craftsmanship endures
Today, the furniture has been part of the lobby and reception area for a number of years. Yet it still appears elegant and contemporary.
For guests, this means a lounge that feels both relaxed and exclusive. For the hotel, it means an interior that lasts, also in the years to come.
Interior concept and atmosphere
The design of the lobby and reception was developed by Interiør Gruppen A/S with the ambition of creating a relaxed lounge atmosphere within the hotel’s historic setting.
In the lobby, classic Danish design meets the building’s original architecture. The old timber beams and warm lighting create a calm framework for the interior. The furniture is not merely functional, it is a part of the hotels atmosphere and the experience.
It is a balance between:
- historic surroundings
- nordic simplicity
- and comfort you can feel.
Furniture made to be used
For the lounge areas, furniture from Søren Lund Møbler was selected, a deliberate choice.
Søren Lund’s designs are defined by:
- exceptional seating comfort
- classic Danish craftsmanship
- and high-quality materials.
These are pieces designed to be used every day.
In a hotel environment, furniture must withstand many guests and countless stays without losing its expression.
