When materials speak – Søren Lund creates a beautiful and sensual hotel interior
When Square Hotel in Copenhagen was to renew their suites and lobby, the ambition was clear: Guests should feel the hotel – not just see it.
Every surface, every texture and every detail should convey tranquility, quality and good craftsmanship.
They wanted an interior design solution that would not only look exclusive, but also feel that way.
“In the interior design of the hotel we wanted to achieve a warm and modern urban atmosphere. And we think that the simple and clean design language of the SL 616 series hit the spot.”

In the foyer, sofas were chosen for lounge areas, where colors and materials are composed so that guests very quickly experience a warm and enveloping atmosphere.
In the suites, the choice fell on a lounge sofa, which can easily be transformed into an extra bed. The color choice was a warm terracotta-colored textile combined with special leather details.
“In the rooms, we have worked with warm brown shades mixed with dark green and rust-burnt colors. The SL 616 Chaiselongen works perfectly as seating furniture in daily use, and is easy to make a bed on when this is desired by the Hotel.”

The result
The hotel appears beautiful, the rooms speak to the senses. The texture of the textiles and the softness of the leather tell a story of timeless quality. The furniture is not only functional – it is part of the hotel’s soul, shaped through genuine craftsmanship and good collaboration.
